This book, Mr. Pratt, written by Joseph Crosby Lincoln (1870 – 1944) was an American author of novels, poems, and short stories, many set in a fictionalized Cape Cod. This book tells the story of a post WWI Cape Cod community where a resident named Mr. Pratt becomes entangled with two New York stock brokers who have decided to retreat to the country to start a new way of living called the “Natural Life” to improve their health and leave the quick pace of the big city behind them. Their eccentricities, romance problems and lack of knowledge on how the poorer folk live give way to adventures, new friendships and a new respect for what they discover.

This book is covered in blue cloth with gold lettering and pictoral. It measures 7 ¾” x 5 ¼” x 1 ½”. It is in good condition with a solid binding and no loose pages. It was published by A.L. Burt Company, New York – 1911. This book will be a great addition to your collection.
